Relevant HELP courses

The following HELP courses are included in the Asylum/Migration eDesks initiative. If the below courses are available in the national language, they are added directly on the respective National eDesk and you can take the course directly from that page and obtain your Statement of Accomplishment. Otherwise links to the translations available are listed below (you will be taken to the self-learning course pages of these courses). Some eDesks already contain the references to these courses in specific sections.

Asylum and Human Rights

The HELP/UNHCR online course has been updated in 2021 under the EU-CoE ‘HELP EU II’ project.

Modules:

3.    Detention and Reception
4.    The right to family life and asylum
5.    Effective remedy

The updated version of the course is available in the following languages: English, French, Bulgarian,  Greek, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Spanish and will soon be made available in Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Ukrainian (April 2022), as well as in Croatian, Czech, German, Latvian, Slovenian (May 2022). The previous edition is also available in Albanian, BosnianFlemishGeorgianRussianSerbianTurkish.

Refugee and Migrant Children

The HELP course was developed as part of the activities implementing the Council of Europe Action Plan on protecting Refugee and Migrant Children in Europe (2017-2019).

  5. Social rights and integration

Internal Displacement

Developed under the Council of Europe Project "Strengthening the Human Rights Protection of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine".

Combating Trafficking in Human Beings

Developed with the Council of Europe Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) Secretariat.
